Contest Rules

These rules apply to all contests and giveaways, unless otherwise noted.

The Star FM promotions, contests, and giveaways are open to all Star FM listeners unless otherwise stated. Employees of Seacoast Radio Network, Star FM’s parent organization, and other organizations associated with the promotion or sponsorship of the contest, are not eligible to participate, nor are their immediate family members. Immediate family members include spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, as well as members of the same household.

There may be only one entry per person per contest, unless otherwise specified. There may be only one winner of a Star FM promotion, contest, or giveaway per household in a one-month (thirty-day) period.

Any participant agrees that, in the event of winning, his or her name, voice, likeness, or city of residence may be broadcast or publicized, without any further notification or compensation.

All on-air contests on The Star FM are designed for participants who listen to our over the air and online radio broadcast. The contest is “official” when the cue to call is heard on-air over radio. Due to technical limitations with audio streaming that cause time-delays in the audio stream, there could be an adverse effect on an internet listeners’ chances of winning a contest.

In the case of call-in promotions (e.g. a prize being awarded to the “third caller”, etc.), The Star FM is not responsible for service outages, delayed connection speeds as a result of internet streaming, etc., which may affect the outcome of the contest. In the case of mail, email, or text message entries, The Star FM is not liable for any failures or delays associated with the USPS, email servers, or network and equipment failures.

In the case of a Facebook promotion, the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Any participant releases Facebook from all liabilities.

Entries will qualify if received before 11:59 pm on the date of the contest deadline as broadcast, announced, or published, unless otherwise specified.

Winners will be notified by phone, mail, or email. In the case of the inability to contact a potential contest winner or failure to comply with the stated contest guidelines, the potential winner forfeits the prize and Star FM reserves the right to select a new winner according to the contest guidelines, in a manner The Star FM deems appropriate, or the prize may become the property of The Star FM at its sole discretion.

The Star FM reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value at its sole discretion.

The Star FM is not liable if the event or concert associated with a prize is postponed or cancelled due to circumstances outside Star FM’s control.

The Star FM reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant who does not comply with the stated rules and guidelines.

No purchase or donation is required to participate.
