We devote a few days each year inviting listeners to join our giving family. We call those days FriendRaiser in the spring, and Sharathon in the fall. Additionally, you’ll hear messages throughout the year thanking people who give, sharing stories of lives that have been impacted because of their support and inviting others (like you!) to join the giving family. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about supporting The Star FM:

What does “listener supported” mean?

People like you provide financially through contributions to help The Star FM share Jesus with all who listen. That means the funds that it takes to operate this ministry are provided through the gifts of individuals and businesses. We are a non-profit radio ministry and we are delighted to partner with people like you. Would you pray today and ask what God would have you do to support The Star FM? Your prayers for this ministry are also very much appreciated.

How much do I have to give?

We are grateful for your contribution of any amount.
The average gift is about $30 per month or $360 annually. People who give at this level are called “More than Music Mission Partners” (MMMP). Some give more – others give less. We suggest you pray and ask God what He would have you do. Whatever gift you give will be a blessing.

What are you going to do with the money?

As a non-commercial, non-profit ministry, your gift will be used for the operating expenses of The Star FM to accomplish our mission “to encourage people and help the local church.” Your gift will help The Star FM share the love of Christ through music, messages, concerts, events and outreach projects.

What is Automatic Giving?

You can make your gift automatically each month from your bank account, credit or debit card. You say when. You say how much. You say how long. It’s secure and it’s the easiest way to support The Star FM.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes, minus the fair market value of any gifts/benefits received. (The IRS requires we let you know that!)

Tax receipts detailing the tax-deductible amount of your gift are sent in January to those who give $250 or more during the previous year. If you received any additional benefits whose fair market value must be reported, they will be listed as required on this receipt.

What do I get when I give?

First, you’ll get our sincere thanks for your support! You’ll be helping us carry out our mission of reaching those in need of hearing hope and encouragement. We also e-mail a monthly letter with station information and to share how your gift is helping The Star FM to touch lives. If you give $250 or more within a calendar year, you will receive a tax receipt in January outlining the tax-deductibility of your gift.

What is the Refund Policy for The Star FM?

By making a charitable gift to Seacoast Radio Network (dba The Star FM), a 501(c)(3) organization, the donor understands that charitable donations are not refundable.

Why are contributions to The Star FM not refundable?

Seacoast Radio Network (dba The Star FM) is a 501(c)(3), ECFA approved organization. In order for our organization to be eligible to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions, all donations must be irrevocable. As a result, we cannot offer refunds on donations made to our organization. We ask for 10 days written notification to terminate an automatic contribution. We ask this to allow enough time to act on the request without incurring additional charges to the ministry.
